“ The food was absolutely delicious! I think offering a yellowtail platter was a great choice, and overall, the menu was really well put together. Id love to come back and try something else next time. ”
“ Different type of Korean cuisine here. Lots of sashimi, excellent Kim chi, pork, and chicken wings. I especially liked the chicken wings. Sashimi was different from normal KBBQ. They advertise they have seafood pancake but didnt unfortunately so that was disappointing. Will be back. The vibes are good, staff are great, and music thumps. ”
“ The cocktail was incredible. I didnt have chance to try much food. I think I should try it next time. All the food is look great. I love the vibes in dine in zone but if you want to order the specific cocktail, they not allowed to sit in dine in zone but its okay. ”
“ Seoul Salon really didnt disappoint. I saw some mixed reviews on the food, so i already have the idea what to order. so my experience was excellent with a little minor issue that they deliver one drink really late when most of the food are already served. the restaurant opens at 530pm on the dot. theres a long line outside mixed with reservation and walkins. you will prioritize to get in if you have a reservation. we got seated really quick with reservation. The space is very cute with a bit futuristic decor, high ceiling, tables are well spaced out. The service was good, i was disappointed that they do not offer lager platter of the yellowtail, we can definitely finish large, I feel like the small is not enough , order one more will be too much . such a shame that they have large on the menu but do not offer even we are the first ones to sit down. We came for the winter special yellowtail platter is amazing. fish taste very fresh and buttery, comes with salad, dipping she seaweed. the salad itself is already very tasty. the yellowtail is a good portion , i feel like the small portion is good for two person, if you are more than 2 i would think will need more. for unfortunately they do not offer large platter, they said you can reorder if you still want more. Beef Tartare the beef taste very fresh and with a little korean twist. some crunchy toppings at the beginning i thought i bite into sand, not sure i enjoy that texture. theresa layer of egg yolk in the bottom , overall very good flavor with a little spicy but not overpower. Fried Chicken itss very crispy on the outside and stil tender and juicy inside. the batter itself has flavor already with some korean hot sauce drizzled on top to add extra heat and sweetness. highly recommend Mala Pork Slider i think its good but a bit overrated, the buns are fluffy but the pork can cook a bit longer, it didnt melt in the mouth. also the pork is very mild, didnt give me mala flavor . Otopus Jeotgal Bimbap good flavor but portion is pretty small like the size of eggrolls. its more like a appertizer. Soy Scallop with Gim Rice very flavorful and scallops are buttery. highly recommend, portion is not big, good for couple bites if you are sharing . our service is good. very friendly and attentive, as mentioned, only one hiccup is that either him or someone forgot our drink order, it was delivered really late half way through the meal. ”
“ This modern Korean spot takes familiar favorites and adds creative, unexpected twists. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was fresh, contemporary, and stylish, making it the perfect setting for a memorable meal. We started with the tteokbokki with stracciatella cheesea true gamechanger. The chewy rice cakes paired with the creamy, slightly tangy cheese was a fascinating contrast to the usual spicy, savory tteokbokki were used to. Next up was the extra crispy fried chicken. This was some of the crispiest, crunchiest chicken Ive ever had. The exterior was golden and crunchy, while the inside remained perfectly juicy. It was deceptively spicy toojust when you thought you had it figured out, a slow burn would kick in and keep you reaching for your drink. Definitely a musttry for anyone who loves fried chicken with a bit of a kick. For something a little more delicate, we had a scallop dish that was as beautiful as it was delicious. It was subtly seasoned, allowing the natural sweetness of the scallops to shine through. The dish was elegant, simple, and freshjust what youd want to balance out the bolder, spicier flavors. But the standout for us was the cuttlefisha dish you prepare yourself! They brought out thin slices of cuttlefish along with some seaweed to wrap it in, making little bites right at the table. It was interactive and fun, and the combination of textures tender cuttlefish and the crisp, salty seaweed was absolutely delicious. Definitely the highlight of our meal. We were really looking forward to trying the yellowtail dish, which was highly recommended, but unfortunately it wasnt available on Sundays. Well definitely be back to try more, and next time, the yellowtail is a must! ”
“ My friend and I came by for a recent weekend dinner. Our reservation was for 6pm, and when we got there the place was still pretty empty, but definitely filled up over the next hour or so. The decor and ambience, a bit of a futuristicmetallic take on a diner ?, was interesting, but I didnt quite get the relationship with the cuisinefood or the concept they were going for haha We ordered two dishes to share the soy scallop over rice and the rose tteokbokki. Soy scallops over rice the scallops were soo delicious. Every one of them had a wonderfully light and fresh flavour that paired really nicely with the mixedin egg yolk and the rice cooked with seaweed?. Rose tteokbokki first impression was that the sauce smelled really yummy. Other than that, the tteokbokki and the fish cakes were good, but nothing too special. I did like the gimmari, which is like fried seaweed wrapped around glass noodles. Ive never had this before, so it was a very pleasantly surprising experience to try this for the first time. For dessert we ordered their only option, which is the banana milk shaved ice. The bowl is deceptively large, and we were lowkey struggling to finish. The ice had a very nice flavour, but remember that its banana milk i.e. the sweeter, partially artificial taste lol than actual bananas lol. There was also a bit of ice cream buried underneath, and between those two and the hazelnuts sprinkled on top, I was a fan of the variety in texture and flavour throughout. For 13 this was actually quite inexpensive, and Id definitely order this again next time. Portion sizes for our main dishes were certainly not very big, but for the two of us this time, these two dishes were enough, since we werent very hungry. But ordinarily, Id expect 2 people to need to order 3 dishes to share. Price point was nonetheless quite reasonable, but perhaps the rating for it comes from ordering some of their drinks, too? Their cocktails did seem pretty good, and Id love to try one next time also. ”
“ We decided to try this spot because its one of the few places that stays open late, and it definitely didnt disappoint. From start to finish, our experience was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. To start, we had the Pine Nut Salad, which was a refreshing way to kick off the meal. The salad tasted incredibly fresh, with a perfect balance of crisp greens and a light dressing that wasnt too heavy. The pine nuts added a nice crunch and a subtle earthy flavor that tied everything together. Next, we had the Korean beef tartare, which had a unique flavor profile that really set it apart from other places weve tried. It was fresh, flavorful, and had a nice balance of spices and textures that made it truly memorable. We then moved on to the grilled tteokgalbi, and it was so good that we ended up ordering a second round! The meat was perfectly grilled, tender on the inside, and had a slightly smoky flavor from the grill that paired wonderfully with the slightly sweet glaze. Its definitely a musttry. The jokbal platter was another standout. The pork was incredibly tender, with the meat practically falling off the bone. It was rich, flavorful, and the seasoning was spot ondefinitely one of the best jokbal platters weve had in a while. We also tried a few drinks, and they complemented the meal perfectly. The cocktails were refreshing and not too overpowering, adding a nice touch to the overall experience. All in all, this place definitely exceeded our expectations, and well be coming back for sure. ”
“ As seen on Korean celebrity Jo SeHos NYC vlog, this is a modern Korean spot with a nice atmosphere. We were seated upstairs which was a little quieter and more suitable for us. My favorites were the soy scallop and the octopus risotto. We ordered 5 dishes for 3 guys, which was way more than enough. As we were leaving, we actually saw Jo SeHo walking in! Cool experience. ”
